How does Ishaan Khatter’s career compare to his half-brother Shahid Kapoor?
Ishaan Khatter entered the film industry with a clear advantage: a famous half-brother and acting parents. Yet he chose an unconventional starting point by debuting as a lead in an Iranian independent film, Beyond the Clouds, rather than a mainstream Bollywood production. That decision set him apart from the typical star-kid trajectory.
Where Shahid Kapoor built his career over two decades with romantic leads and commercial hits, Ishaan has balanced Bollywood films like Dhadak with international television projects such as A Suitable Boy and The Perfect Couple. His filmography remains smaller, but it reflects a willingness to experiment across formats and markets.
His dance background, also shared with Shahid, has been leveraged in brand endorsements and stage performances. Over time, Khatter may continue to differentiate himself through role selection and cross-border collaborations.
